2nd Edition Lesson
Composition through Code
GRADE 7 STEAM
Unlock your students’ creativity by turning music composition into an interactive coding experience! In this STEAM lesson, small groups will use rhythmic, melodic, and harmonic notation cards or scat words and syllables to compose a “music code composition,” guided by coding symbols like arrows and loops. Students will sequence, perform, and record their compositions, giving credit to the creators for their musical work.
