SPRINT 2, LESSON 2
Sequencing Strategies, Lessons and Projects
Video play time: 13:53
This lesson is all about the differences between strategies, lessons and projects. One of the great openers for arts integration is with strategies. But it can be all too easy for teachers to get stuck in just using strategies and never moving into an actual arts integration lesson. Similarly, it’s also common to see teachers using single one-off arts integration lessons and never weaving them into a long-term project. So today, we’re going to chat about when it’s appropriate to use each of these and how to grow from one to the next. Here’s what we’re going to cover:
• The connections between strategies, lessons and projects
• The single switch that will instantly move you from strategy to lesson
• How to make adjustments to your lessons and extend them into projects when you’re ready and
• The lesson implementation cycle

Thank you for Strategy Bonus printout…. it will certainly come in handy. Once I feel comfortable with implementing them in my Art Room….i will definitely suggest a few to my Classroom Teachers. I truly like the 3 year Arts Integration plan…. makes it a building sequence for, implementing slowly,
With discussion, collaboration and review with colleagues. SLOW AND STEADY….as they say.
Happy that’s helpful. And the tortoise always wins, right??
Yep! I just emailed Shawna some slow lesson plan #1 progress. She’s very patient waiting for me at the finish line ???⏳
The slow and steady is SO worth it once you get there!
