Makerspace Grants Sponsored by Pacon

Have a STEAM/AI Idea that you need to get funded? Apply for a grant!

Our wonderful friends at Pacon are fully-funding 3 makerspaces with up to $1600 of their products.

Congratulations to the following winners:

Presley Sutton

Melissa Buckley

Lauren Blumberg

Here’s how the contest worked:

1. Looked through the Pacon Makerspace Kit here (totaling over $1600 in supplies and materials!) and thought about how they could use these items to create a STEAM lesson, unit or makerspace in their classroom or school.  They could also download the xls. spreadsheet if that was more convenient.

2.Wrote a 2-3 paragraph proposal about their idea.  Shared how they planned to use this space or project in their school, what standards it’s connected to, and what the end goal is for the makerspace or project idea.

3. Submitted a proposal no later than January 26, 2018.  We announced the three winners in an email during the conference day event.

We want to make you famous!

If you are selected as one of our 3 grant winners, we intend to make some noise about it!  To do that we are going to ask you to provide photos, and possibly some video, of your students using the materials you’ve won (following your schools security guidelines, of course).

And we’ll want video of you telling us about your makerspace concept and your experience implementing it with your class.  Nothing fancy, just you talking into the camera.  Plus, we are going to want to interview you and use all of this material in stories about you, your students and your school online and in print.

So, by entering the Makerspace Grant contest, you agree to help Education Closet and Pacon make you famous if you win.  :)

And remember, you can’t win if you don’t enter.   So get your proposal in to us right away!
